Steps

Goal: Confirm pairing mode, clear old pairings, and pair the Bluetooth device.

  • Put the device in pairing mode per the manual. Verify you should see a blinking light or hear a tone.
  • Forget the device on the phone or computer if it was paired before. Clear pairings on the device if possible.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on on the source. Try pairing again.
  • Keep the device within 3–10 feet during pairing.
  • Good: The device pairs and connects. Bad: The device still will not pair—factory reset it and try again, or call support.

Pairing mode

Goal: Confirm the device is in pairing mode.

  • Check the manual for how to enter pairing mode. Often a button hold for 5–10 seconds.
  • Look for a blinking light or audible tone that indicates pairing mode.
  • Good: Device is in pairing mode. Bad: Device not in pairing mode—check the manual or battery level.

Clear pairings

Goal: Remove old pairings that may block a new connection.

  • On the source device, open Bluetooth settings and forget or remove the device.
  • On the Bluetooth device, clear pairings if the manual describes how.
  • Good: Old pairings cleared. Bad: Device still shows as paired—restart the source and try again.

When to get help

Call the manufacturer if:

  • The device still will not pair after clearing pairings, restarting Bluetooth, and factory reset.
  • You have tried all steps and the device never appears in the list.

Verification

  • The Bluetooth device appears in the paired list and connects.
  • Audio, data, or controls work as expected.
  • The device reconnects automatically when in range.
