Steps
Goal: Rule out brightness and apps so battery lasts longer.
- Lower screen brightness.
- Good: Brightness reduced. Proceed to Lower brightness.
- Bad: Set brightness to 50–70%.
Lower brightness
Goal: Reduce the largest power drain.
- Press the brightness-down key. Set to 50–70%. Enable battery saver.
- Good: Brightness and battery saver on. Proceed to Close apps.
- Bad: Lower brightness further.
Close apps
Goal: Reduce background power use.
- Close unused tabs. Exit Android apps. Turn off Bluetooth when not needed.
- Good: Fewer apps running. Battery should last longer.
- Bad: Run battery_test in crosh. If health is low, call support.

- Brightness and apps are optimized.
- Battery health is low (from battery_test).
- The battery still drains very fast.
Verification
- Battery lasts longer with lower brightness and fewer apps.
