Steps
Goal: Turn Bluetooth on, put the device in pairing mode, and pair.
- Confirm Bluetooth is on. Put the device in pairing mode.
- Good: Device appears in the list. Pair it.
- Bad: Ensure the device is in pairing mode (hold the button until the LED blinks).
Pair
Goal: Add the Bluetooth device.
- Settings, Connected devices, Bluetooth, Add device. Select your device when it appears. Enter PIN if prompted.
- Good: Device paired and connected.
- Bad: Forget the device and re-pair.
Forget and re-pair
Goal: Clear corrupted pairing.
- Forget the device. Put it in pairing mode again. Add it again. Restart both if needed.
- Good: Connection works.
- Bad: Try the device on another computer. If it works there, the Chromebook Bluetooth may have failed.

- The Bluetooth device pairs with other computers but not the Chromebook.
