  • Only convertibles with 360-degree hinges support tent mode.
  • Good: It is a convertible. Proceed to Fold and restart.
  • Bad: No tent mode on this model.

Fold and restart

Goal: Trigger the hinge sensor and reset the mode.

  • Fold the screen and keyboard back-to-back into a tent shape. Restart the Chromebook. Fold and test again.
  • Good: Tent mode activates.
  • Bad: Update Chrome OS. If still fails, call support.
