Steps

Goal: Adjust settings to reduce touchpad sensitivity.

  • Open Settings > Device > Touchpad.
  • Good: Settings open. Proceed to Reduce sensitivity.
  • Bad: Restart and try again.

Reduce sensitivity

Goal: Lower how easily touches register.

  • Move the sensitivity slider toward “Less sensitive”. Turn off tap-to-click.
  • Good: Sensitivity reduced. Proceed to Turn off tap-to-click.
  • Bad: Enable palm rejection if available.

Turn off tap-to-click

Goal: Avoid accidental taps.

  • Turn off tap-to-click. Use physical clicks instead.
  • Good: Fewer accidental clicks.
  • Bad: If the touchpad is still too sensitive, call support.
