Frequently asked questions

Why would a control panel show a fault?
Common causes: zone fault (open sensor, tamper, low battery), communication fault (cellular or network down), or service fault (panel or component failure). Check the fault code in your manual.
How do I clear a fault on the panel?
Most panels: enter your code, then press a button or follow a menu to clear. Check your manual for the exact sequence. Some faults clear when you fix the cause (e.g. close the door).
When should I call my alarm company for a fault?
Call if the fault persists after you fix the cause, if you do not understand the fault code, or if the panel will not clear. Do not open the panel if you are not comfortable.
