Steps

Goal: Try a soft reset first, then a factory reset if needed.

  • Power-cycle the device (unplug 30 seconds, plug back in). Verify you should see it restart.
  • If that does not help, check the manual for the factory reset procedure.
  • Backup or note your settings, then factory reset. Re-add the device to the app.
  • Good: The device works after reset. Bad: The device still will not work—call support.

  • Good: Device works. Bad: Still has issues—try factory reset.

Factory reset

Goal: Restore the device to factory state and set up again.

  • Follow the manual—often hold reset button 10–15 seconds. Backup settings first.
  • Re-add the device to the app. Restore your settings.
  • Good: Device works. Bad: Still fails—call support.

When to get help

  • The device still will not work after a factory reset and re-add.
  • The device will not enter reset mode or is stuck.

Verification

  • The device appears in the app and can be controlled.
  • Settings are restored (if you had noted them).
