Steps

Goal: Check placement, setup, and connection so the Wi‑Fi extender extends the network.

  • Place the extender within range of the main router—ideally halfway to the coverage area.
  • Confirm the extender is set up via the setup wizard and connected to the main router.
  • Restart the extender and the main router.
  • Good: The extender extends the network. Bad: The extender still will not extend—reset and re-setup, or call support.

Placement check

Goal: Confirm the extender is within range.

  • Extenders must receive the main router signal. Place it halfway between the router and the area to cover.
  • Good: Extender in range. Bad: Too far—move it closer.

Setup check

Goal: Confirm the extender is set up and connected.

  • Run the setup wizard if the extender was never configured. Enter the main router Wi‑Fi password.
  • Good: Extender connected. Bad: Not set up—run setup wizard.

When to get help

Call the manufacturer if:

  • The extender still will not extend after checking placement, setup, and resetting.
  • You have tried all steps and the extender never connects.

Verification

  • The extender shows as connected in the app.
  • Devices can connect to the extender’s network and get internet.
  • Coverage extends into the target area.

Escalation ladder

Work from the device outward. Stop when the problem is fixed.

  1. Check placement Extender within range of main router.
  2. Confirm setup Extender set up and connected to main router.
  3. Restart Restart extender and main router.
  4. Reset and re-setup Factory reset and run setup wizard again.
  5. Call support Manufacturer support if all steps fail.
