Steps

Goal: Get recovery emails to arrive—check spam, confirm the address, whitelist the sender.

  • Check Spam, Junk, Promotions, and Social folders. Search for the sender.
  • Good: You found the email. Use the link or code. Proceed to Verification.
  • Bad: Not found. Proceed to Address path.

Spam path

Goal: Find the recovery email in filtered folders.

  • Open Spam, Junk, Promotions, Social. Search for “noreply”, “no_reply”, or the service name.
  • If found, use the link or code. Mark “Not spam” and add the sender to contacts.
  • Good: Email found and used. Future emails should go to inbox.

Address path

Goal: Confirm the recovery email is correct and whitelist the sender.

  • Check account settings. Confirm the recovery email address. Update if wrong.
  • Add the sender to contacts or whitelist. Request the email again. Wait 10–15 minutes.
  • Good: Email arrives. Complete recovery.
  • Bad: Still no email—try Alternate path.

Alternate path

Goal: Use a different recovery method when email fails.

  • Use phone verification or a backup recovery email. If locked out, use account recovery (security questions).
  • Contact support if no method works.
  • Good: Account recovered via alternate method.
