Goal: Rule out power loss and muted settings.

  • Check power to the siren. Hardwired: confirm the breaker is on. Battery: replace with fresh batteries.
  • Check chime settings in the panel or app. Confirm the siren is not muted.
  • Good: Power present and siren enabled. Proceed to Check wiring.
  • Bad: No power or muted—fix and retest.

Check wiring

Goal: Confirm siren output wiring is secure.

  • Turn off power at the breaker. Check connections at the siren and control panel.
  • Tighten loose screws. Clean corrosion. Restore power and test.
  • Good: Wiring secure. If siren still silent, replace it.
  • Bad: Loose or corroded—fix and retest.

When to get help

  • Call your alarm company if the siren still will not sound after checking power, settings, and wiring.
  • Do not open the control panel if you are not comfortable with low-voltage wiring.
