Steps
Goal: Confirm same network, check AirPlay settings, then rule out VPN and router.
- Confirm the TV and the iPhone, iPad, or Mac are on the same Wi‑Fi network.
- Good: Same network. Proceed to Check AirPlay.
- Bad: Different networks—connect both to the same network (avoid guest network).
Check network
Goal: Rule out different networks.
- Check TV Settings > Network and the Apple device Wi‑Fi settings. Both must use the same network name. Guest networks and some mesh setups put devices on different networks.
- Good: Same network. Proceed to Check AirPlay.
- Bad: Different networks—connect both to the same Wi‑Fi.
Check AirPlay
Goal: Confirm AirPlay is enabled and the TV appears in the AirPlay list.
- Open TV Settings. Find AirPlay, Screen Mirroring, or Apple AirPlay. Enable it if it is off.
- On the Apple device, open Control Center (iPhone/iPad) or the menu bar (Mac). Tap Screen Mirroring or the AirPlay icon. Confirm the TV appears.
- Restart the TV and the Apple device. Disable VPN on the Apple device. Unplug the TV and the router from power. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the router in first, then the TV.
- Good: TV appears and power-cycle helps. AirPlay works. Done.
- Bad: TV still does not appear—check router for AP isolation. If enabled, disable it. Update the Apple device. If AirPlay still will not work, call a technician.
