- Good: Same network. Proceed to Check discovery.
- Bad: Different networks—connect both to the same network (avoid guest network).
Check network
Goal: Rule out different networks.

- Bad: Different networks—connect both to the same Wi‑Fi.
Check discovery
Goal: Confirm the TV appears in the cast list and rule out app and VPN issues.
- Open a casting app (YouTube, Netflix, Chrome) and tap the cast icon. Confirm the TV appears.
- Restart the casting app and the Google Home app. Disable VPN on the casting device.
- Unplug the TV and the router from power. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the router in first, then the TV.
- Good: TV appears and power-cycle helps. Casting works. Done.
- Bad: TV still does not appear—check router for AP isolation. If enabled, disable it. If casting still will not work, call a technician.
