Frequently asked questions
- Why would a TV remote not learn?
- Low batteries, wrong positioning, faulty source remote, or a faulty learning remote. The learning remote receives IR codes from another remote; alignment and power matter.
- Can I fix a TV remote that will not learn myself?
- Yes. Replace batteries, position remotes nose-to-nose, use a working source remote, and follow the learn procedure. If it still fails, replace the learning remote.
- When should I replace the learning remote?
- If fresh batteries, correct positioning, and a known-good source remote do not fix it, the learning remote is likely faulty. Replace with an OEM or universal remote.
