Steps
Goal: Confirm power and connection type, then fix pairing (wireless) or cable (wired), and check subwoofer level.
- Check the subwoofer is powered on and identify whether it is wired or wireless.

- Bad: Subwoofer off—power on and test.
Check power and connection type
Goal: Rule out power and identify the connection type.
- Confirm the subwoofer has power—LED or indicator lit. Check for a cable: wired subwoofers use RCA or speaker wire; wireless subwoofers pair with the soundbar or receiver.
- Good: Power on and type known. Proceed to Wireless pairing or Wired connection.
- Bad: Power off—power on and test.
Wireless pairing
Goal: Pair the wireless subwoofer with the soundbar or receiver.
- Put the subwoofer in pairing mode—hold the pairing button or follow the manual. Unplug the soundbar or receiver and the subwoofer. Plug in the subwoofer first, then the soundbar or receiver. Turn both on.
- Good: Subwoofer pairs. Proceed to Check subwoofer level.
- Bad: Still not paired—retry pairing or call a technician.
Wired connection
Goal: Confirm the RCA or speaker wire is firmly connected.
- Reseat the cable at both ends—subwoofer and soundbar or receiver. Check the subwoofer output is enabled in the soundbar or receiver menu.
- Good: Cable snug and output enabled. Proceed to Check subwoofer level.
- Bad: Loose cable—reseat and test.
Check subwoofer level
Goal: Confirm the subwoofer level is not at zero.
- Open the soundbar or receiver menu. Find Bass, Subwoofer, or Speaker settings. Raise the subwoofer level. Some subwoofers have a level knob on the unit.
- Good: Level up. Bass appears. Done.
- Bad: Level up and still no bass—call a technician.
Power-cycle
Goal: Reset the pairing or handshake.
- Unplug the soundbar or receiver and the subwoofer from power. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the subwoofer in first, then the soundbar or receiver. Turn both on.
- Good: Power-cycle fixes the issue. Subwoofer works. Done.
- Bad: Still does not work—call a technician.

- You have checked power, pairing, cable, level, and power-cycle and the subwoofer still does not work.
Verification
- The subwoofer produces bass during movies, music, or TV content.
