Steps

Goal: Fix audio crackling.

Disable enhancements

Goal: Remove effects that cause crackling.

  • Sound > Output device > Properties > Enhancements. Disable all.
  • Good: Crackling reduced. Bad: Try format.

Reinstall driver

Goal: Reset corrupted driver.

  • Device Manager > Sound. Uninstall audio device. Restart.
  • Good: Crackling reduced. Bad: Update driver.
