Steps

Goal: Reduce battery drain.

  • Enable Battery saver. Check Task Manager for heavy apps.
  • Good: Drain reduced. Bad: Run battery report.

Enable Battery saver

Goal: Limit background activity.

  • Settings > Power > Battery saver. Turn on or set threshold.
  • Good: Battery saver on. Bad: Enable it.

Check battery usage

Goal: Find apps that drain battery.

  • Task Manager > Processes. Sort by Power usage. Disable background apps.
  • Good: No heavy apps. Bad: Close or disable them.

When to get help

Call a technician if:

  • Battery report shows poor health.
  • Battery is swollen—do not use; fire hazard. Replace battery.

Verification

  • Battery runtime improved.
  • Task Manager shows no unexpected high-usage apps.
