Steps
Goal: Fix mic so it captures sound.
- Allow microphone access in Privacy. Select correct input device.
- Good: Mic works. Bad: Reinstall driver.
Check privacy
Goal: Allow apps to use the mic.
- Settings > Privacy > Microphone. Turn on access.
- Good: Access on. Bad: Enable it.
Select input device
Goal: Use the correct microphone.
- Sound settings > Input. Select correct mic. Set volume up.
- Good: Mic selected. Bad: Select and set volume.
