Steps
Goal: Get the microphone working again.
- Confirm microphone access is allowed and microphone is default input.
- Good: Proceed to Check privacy and default device.

Goal: Rule out privacy and wrong default.
- Settings > Privacy > Microphone. On. Sound > Input > select microphone.
- Good: Set. Proceed to Reinstall driver if still not working.
- Bad: Allow and set default.
Reinstall driver
Goal: Reset microphone driver.
- Device Manager > Audio inputs and outputs > Uninstall microphone. Restart.
- Good: Microphone works. Bad: Hardware may have failed.
