Steps

Goal: Get the printer printing again.

Check default and restart spooler

Goal: Fix default and clear stuck jobs.

  • Set printer as default. Restart Print Spooler. Clear queue.
  • Good: Ready to print. Bad: Run troubleshooter.

Reinstall driver

Goal: Reset printer driver.

  • Remove printer. Add again. Or install manufacturer driver.
  • Good: Printer prints. Bad: Check hardware.

Contact printer manufacturer if:

  • Printer shows hardware error.
  • Paper jam or hardware fault.

Verification

  • Printer shows “Ready” in Settings.
