Steps
Goal: Fix sleep so PC sleeps when idle.
- Set sleep timeout. Run powercfg /requests to find blockers.
- Good: Sleep works. Bad: Disable wake sources.
Set sleep timeout
Goal: Configure when PC sleeps.
- Settings > Power > Screen and sleep. Set “PC goes to sleep after”.
- Good: Timeout set. Bad: Set to 15 min or desired.
Find blockers
Goal: See what prevents sleep.
- Run powercfg /requests as admin. Disable wake timers. Disable device wake.
- Good: No blockers. Bad: Update driver or disable wake.

Is sleep timeout set?
Sleep must be configured.
