Steps

  • Restart Explorer from Task Manager.
  • Good: Start works. Bad: Proceed to Run Start repair.

  • Good: Start works. Bad: Run Start troubleshooter.

Run Start repair

Goal: Repair Start components.

  • Run Start troubleshooter. Or PowerShell AppX repair.
  • Good: Start works. Bad: Create new user to test profile.
