Goal: Get the taskbar visible again.

Check auto-hide and restart Explorer

Goal: Rule out auto-hide and Explorer.

  • Move mouse to bottom edge. Disable auto-hide if needed. Restart Explorer.
  • Good: Taskbar shows. Bad: Check taskbar position and display.

Check display and position

Goal: Find taskbar if moved or on another display.

  • Check all four edges. Check multi-monitor settings.
  • Good: Taskbar found. Bad: Create new user or boot Safe Mode.
