Steps

Goal: Uninstall the toolbar program, remove it from the browser, and run Malwarebytes.

  • Uninstall from Settings, Apps. Remove from browser Extensions. Run Malwarebytes.
  • Good: Toolbar gone. You are done.
  • Bad: Reset the browser. Run Defender full scan.

Uninstall program

Goal: Remove the toolbar program from Windows.

  • Settings, Apps. Search for the toolbar name. Uninstall. Restart.
  • Good: Toolbar gone.
  • Bad: Remove from browser and run Malwarebytes.

Remove from browser

Goal: Remove the toolbar from the browser.

  • Chrome or Edge: Settings, Extensions. Remove the toolbar extension.
  • Good: Toolbar gone from browser.
  • Bad: Uninstall the program. Run Malwarebytes.

When to get help

  • The toolbar persists after these steps.

Verification
