Frequently asked questions
- Why would TV closed captions not work?
- Captions off in TV or source, wrong input selected, or content has no captions. Some sources (cable box, streaming app) control captions, not the TV.
- Can I fix closed captions myself?
- Yes. Check TV caption settings, source device caption settings, and confirm the content has captions. Most issues are settings related.
- When should I call a technician?
- If captions do not appear on any input or source after checking all settings, and the content is known to have captions. The decoder or software may need repair.
